Super Cat sneakers

Freeze! It's the Super Cat!

Some time ago I bought a pair of cheap white sneakers with a purpose of painting them. And the time has come to do so!

(Especially because my old sneakers are falling apart)

When I first thought of it, while being in a shoe shop, I was quite sure they will be blue and will have clouds on. Today I decided that it would be interesting to go with the flow and not plan what else will appear on them.

So I've set everything up, prepared my paints (acrylics) and brushes, started playing Star Wars II  on my computer and... BAM!... a Super Cat appeared from nowhere! :D Well, he's a super cat - they tend to appear from nowhere ;)

Oh, how I love those shoes! I will surely make more, it's so much fun. And there are never enough of super-cat-and-stars shoes!

Finally, I've shown the shoes to one of the cats, and it seems he approves. Thankfully! :D

I think I can treat this shoe painting as one of my Challenge's topic - limited palette. I've used only white, black and light blue acrylic.

How do you like them? :) Maybe you've got some propositions for next shoes?

This is what happens when I watch a movie for a second time and I'm not really into watching it and there is a paper and a pen somewhere near :)

There are mostly MEs and MY LOVEs there. But you can also find My Love's cat and my dog :)

Lick it or you will get stains!

Today I found out that I have only time till midnight to create and artwork, make movie out of it and upload it on YouTube if I want to take part in a competition. And I wanted.

So I've spent few hours of non stop creating and then few hours shouting at movie maker software but I've made it on time :) I'm so glad ^^

The contest was about showing how you create a character from one of the Heroes of Might and Magic games. First of all I have chosen to do Raksha Rani - because it's a cat and I usually play with this nation. But it appeared to be too complicated to make his four arms co-operate with each other and the rest of the body....

This is how the sketch looked after more than one hour of sketching - I was constantly erasing some parts and changing them and then I had to change the rest to make it fit and then I've changed my mind and tried another pose and... it was a disaster.

So when I found out, today in the afternoon, that I have not much time left to make my entry I have decided to do something that always comes quick. Sexy girls :) Sexy girls made with pencil and scanned and then coloured in Photoshop - that's my quickest way of creating.

 Played Christina to get into the sexy mood and I was ready to go :)

Normally I use Procaster from LiveStream for screen capture. But, unfortunately, it saves videos in .mpeg4 format and I had no (absolutely no) time for converting them to .avi. So I have used a different software and it was a disaster :/  You can see it on the movie. It was slowing down my computer and the video it created made a lot of errors while processing. Will not use that program again!

Nevertheless, the image came out really neat :) I like it a lot!

Daily Sketch - 36

I've seen the 'Percy Jackson and so on.." movie :) I must admit it was quite nice, though some of the special effects looked cheap. But many thing were happening so the book must be amazing! Must read the book! >o<

New Moon - excellent new version :D

R2D2 returns ;)

During this weekend I went with my sister Kate to Puławy to visit our family and get charged. This place is the best one to make you batteries work as they should - to the full!

On the way to a cinema we found out that C3PO and R2D2 were going somewhere too :D We didn't want to disturb them so I just took a quick photo of them and my sis ;)


We went to the cinema to see 'Dzieci Ireny Sendlerowej' (it's 'The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler' in English) and I must admit that it was really worth it. Together with 'The Pianist' and 'Katyń', and probably something more I can not remember now, it's something everyone should see. It makes your heart grow bigger and bleed because of its greatness unable to be used in times like this.

Artistic rage during Easter

This time you'll see pictures mostly, not what I write (and write and write and write and there is always so much for me to write and too much for you to read...).

This one was created while waiting for sth to do on a meeting described below. It's inspired by 'The Last Elf' by Silvana De Mari. Incredible book, I recommend!

Easter! Here you can see two eggs I've decorated. It's 'drapanki' in Polish, give me a minute I'll check if it's a name for this in English....

Oh! They look beautiful! This year mum decided that an Easter dinner table looks too boring and we should do some funny and sweet-looking muffins and that's exactly what we did :)

So many already eaten! And the photo was taken a day before Easter! *zgroza!*

The most hungry members of the family :D The first one is Tina, our dog, the next one is Kacper, my dad's part of the family dog. They are pleased to meet you. Do you have something to eat? :3

I saw 'Bridge to Terabithia'. It's magical. I just couldn't resist...

I still couldn't handle it :P (I even bought my sister the book so she will not be able to handle it too ^^)

And here I've just finished reading 'Witch Child' by Celia Rees. I was anxious throughout the whole story. It's amazingly written, having a great pace and leaves your head full of ideas. Stories about witches (or to-be witches or never-were-but-people-thought-different witches) are my hobby-horse - I could read them all the time and never get bored.

Look who's here! A creature! Unfortunately, it did not tell me it's name (probably thinks I'm not trustworthy). But it's now with my sister and maybe she knows how it is called :)

Here's a sad story :(
Even before the Creatures came to me this little butterfly appeared. It was beautiful, glittery pink with green and mauve spots. Unfortunately, it died on the next day ;(

Pigs and re-thoughts

Today we, me + my <3, went on a Guinea Pigs' Show. I don't find them cute, in opposite to hamsters, but I wanted to see different breeds of this animal since I saw only the one my friend had (with an out-of-bed furstyle :P). I've made few photos of the more interesting ones:

2 days ago I watched the "Twilight" again and wondered what's with it that I like so much. Since I went to bed almost just after the movie I written my reflections on my cell phone. And here are they:

I watched the movie again and now I can say it's all about The Love Story that is impossible to happen in reality. It's this love full of secrets and future plans unknown to anybody, even the lovers.
Those loves are always based on the things that disappear as first in the real world, when a relationship is up and running for a while. In real life those secret moments and plans are the things you need to care about; it's something you have to always keep in mind so it won't fade away.
But when you go further and deeper it appears that all those love stories - both in real life and in the imaginary world - are the same. They both have this magic, this THING that makes you want to elope just to keep the moment forever.
However, we often forget about the good things we have, or may have, and fall for love stories created by other people's imagination. Forgetting that the love shown there always somehow misses the everyday life's problems; doesn't know bad days or not-so-good humours. The love we may have in the real life, in opposite, has those features and looks much more vibrant with them.
What's more - there's nothing better than a kiss after a meaningless fight ;)

While re-writing it I thought that the pursuit of ideal love sounds like a teenage attitude. Sometimes I feel a bit retarded in this field of life - watching/reading about couples, imagining how good they may feel together. BUT! I can also divide real life with my <3, who is not a vampire nor a wizard, from the stories made by someone else. It's good to make your own story *nods*

But I always wanted to be fairy! XD
